Specialty Lubricants for Aerospace, Space and Defense

Lubrication for critical missions, with sourcing to spec, traceable documentation and field technical support.

The challenge

What Aerospace, Space & Defense Equipment Is Up Against

Specification and traceability

Defense and aerospace programs require a specific specification, batch traceability and complete documentation for every product. One undocumented can may stop an entire audit.

Extreme temperature range

Lubricants must hold their consistency from below −50°C at altitude to several hundred degrees near engines and brakes.

Vacuum, oxygen and chemicals

Space and test applications demand low evaporation, oxygen compatibility and resistance to aggressive fluids such as fuels and hydraulic oils.

Long storage and harsh field conditions

Land, sea and air platforms may sit in storage for years and then have to perform in the harshest field conditions; corrosion and lubricant breakdown are the main enemies.

In defense and aerospace, a lubricant is not a consumable. It is part of the mission. A seized turret joint, an actuator that freezes in the cold or a fastener that rusts in storage can keep a platform from deploying. That is why, in this sector, the right documents, the right batch and on-time delivery matter as much as the right product.

A partner to the defense and aerospace industry

Türkiye’s defense and aerospace industry produces everything from land vehicles and unmanned aircraft to naval platforms, satellites and rockets, and exports them around the world. The production lines, test facilities and maintenance shops behind these programs work to much stricter quality rules than typical industrial plants. We bring the same discipline to customers in other countries.

For these teams, Oilsan provides:

  • Sourcing to spec: We find the product that meets the specification in your technical documents and quote it with conformance documents.
  • Traceability: Batch numbers, TDS and SDS documents with every shipment, in order.
  • Field technical support: Our engineer reviews your lubrication points on site and plans product changeovers and training.
  • Stock and planning: We hold your annual requirement in our Istanbul warehouse and ship to your program schedule, in Türkiye or abroad.

Where our products are used

Production and assembly lines: Moly assembly pastes and nickel anti-seize for turret and gimbal mechanisms, gearboxes, and the bolts and fittings used in assembly.

Land vehicles: Gear oils meeting MIL-PRF-2105E requirements for drivetrains, and heavy-duty greases for chassis and joints.

Aviation ground support and MRO shops: Wide-temperature synthetic greases for ground support equipment, hangar doors, lifting systems and shop equipment. For flight-critical parts, sourcing that matches the manufacturer’s approved product list.

Electrical and electronics: Silicone greases meeting MIL-S-8660C with high dielectric strength for connectors, O-rings and seals.

Space and test facilities: PFPE greases for vacuum chambers, oxygen lines and chemically exposed points.

Naval platforms: Corrosion protectors and water-resistant greases for cranes, hatches and deck equipment exposed to salt water and humidity.

Why specialty lubricants?

A general-purpose grease can stiffen at −40°C, run out at 200°C or dissolve on contact with fuel. In defense and aerospace, the same equipment may operate in the desert one day and at altitude the next. Synthetic base oils and special components such as PTFE and PFPE are designed to keep lubricating across that wide range of conditions.

How we get you to the right product

  1. Share the specification number, the application and the operating conditions.
  2. We identify the right product from our range, or an alternative that meets your specification.
  3. We send a quote with samples, conformance documents and a delivery date.
  4. After delivery, we support application and training.

Note: For flight-critical and QPL applications, the final choice must always follow the platform manufacturer’s technical documentation.

What’s new

New Lubrication Technologies for Aerospace, Space & Defense

PFPE (perfluoropolyether) greases

With very low vapor pressure, chemical inertness and a wide temperature range, PFPE greases have become the standard for vacuum, oxygen service and fuel-exposed applications.

Wide-range synthetic low-temperature greases

PTFE-fortified synthetic greases keep starting torque low even around −60°C, keeping equipment moving on arctic and high-altitude missions.

MIL-spec silicone greases and gear oils

Silicone greases meeting MIL-S-8660C are used on connectors, O-rings and dielectric applications; gear oils meeting MIL-PRF-2105E requirements serve military vehicle drivetrains.

Dry-film corrosion protectors and nickel anti-seize

Thin-film protectors that prevent corrosion in long-term storage and nickel pastes that keep hot fasteners removable shorten maintenance time.

FAQ

Common Questions

Can you supply products that must meet a MIL specification?

Yes. Several products in our range meet specifications such as MIL-S-8660C and MIL-PRF-2105E. If your specification calls for a particular MIL, AMS, DEF STAN or QPL-listed product, share the specification number with your request; we source to it and send conformance documents with the quote.

Do you recommend lubricants for flight-critical parts?

For flight-critical applications, the choice always follows the aircraft or engine manufacturer’s maintenance manual and approved product list. We supply the product that matches that list and give technical recommendations for ground support equipment, shops and facility lubrication points.

Which lubricant suits space and vacuum applications?

Where low outgassing and chemical inertness are needed, PFPE-based greases are usually preferred. HUSKEY PF Series is in this class. Share your vacuum level, temperature range and material compatibility needs for a final recommendation.

Do you ship to defense programs outside Türkiye?

Yes. We ship from Istanbul to customers worldwide with export documentation. For products and destinations that may be subject to export controls, we complete the required checks with you before the order.
